    Click: Business Owner?

    Create an account.

After signing up I’m sent back to the home page and the listing hasn’t been claimed.

Shouldn’t the listing be claimed at this point? And why not send me back to the listing page that I just tried to claim instead of making me search for the listing I was just on and making me claim it again?

I tried to see if it’d work on the Whoop demo but didn’t have any luck either. Page wasn’t redirecting properly.

I’m sure I’m doing something wrong right? This can’t be how it should work. My business owners are as confused as I am – probably more.

You need to have an account before you can claim a listing. Non-logged in users cannot claim.
So once you created the account and are logged in, you need to go back to the listing to claim it.
I’ll get Paolo to have a look to check if the correct redirection can be added.

It’d sure be less confusing if after creating an account they were referred back to the page that preceded the account creation process.

I’m thinking it might be wise to fork the claim listing process to:

If user is logged in – allow claim

elseif user is not logged in:
    – Sign in and claim
Automatically bring up claim form after logging in
    – Create account and claim
Bring up combined account creation with listing claim form

Goal – make it as streamlined and easy to claim a listing as possible.

    I know, feature request right?

    I know, feature request right?

    You’re a fast learner 🙂
Sounds about right, unless you can whip up the code in the next day or two 🙂
