I appreciate all your help. I am just testing out the plug ins before I make a purchase so that am sure it does what I need and no issues.
I am trying to decide whether to buy and use GD for my project. I am however concerned that GD may not be fully compatible with my theme. Take a look at the Dashboard on my page how it is not formatted correctly.
Also there are all sorts of misaligned grey line on the GD screen. Use the following link to check out the behaviour of GD on my theme. Any ideas how the compatibility issues can be resolved?
The website is located at

January 12, 2018 at 8:41 am #412437Hi Dayo,

Please check and let us know.
* Is there a way to change its positioning to be say the third item in the menu. It currently is added as the last item on the main menu
That menu is dynamically generated so not possible to change position of that menu. But you can create new menu with custom link and apply PARISH page link to it.
* Secondly, currently under PARISH, it shows a sub-menu item Parishes. Is there a way I can add another sub-menu item for Add a Parish?
Create menu with custom link and apply add a Parish link to it.

KiranJanuary 12, 2018 at 8:24 pm #412544Wow – looks much better now. Thank YOU!!!
One thing though – the link to Add a Listing / Parish has disappeared from the page. Also, it only shows the Login In / Password option without an option to REGISTER. How can I get that to show up now?
Finally, I had asked 2 questions about the menu but has not received any responses to that.
Look forward to hearing back from you soon.
January 12, 2018 at 8:32 pm #412545Hello,
1# Is there a way to change its positioning to be say the third item in the menu. It currently is added as the last item on the main menu
That menu is generated dynamically so it is not possible to change the position of that menu item, but you can remove that using the settings and then create a new menu item within the normal WordPress Menu settings. Try the GD Loginbox widget to find those links.
2# under PARISH, it shows a sub-menu item Parishes. Is there a way I can add another sub-menu item for Add a Parish?
Use the WordPress menu feature to create a custom link to Parish.
3# Where is the link to register?
You can add the Loginbox widget to get a registration link, and be sure to enable “Anyone can register” in your WordPress settings.
If that still doesn’t solve your problem, write back and let us know how we can help

Will take your advice to create my own custom menu items – but will need to hunt to find out what links to use on the menu i create to achieve the same effect.
When people register to add their parish, is there a way to set this GD up such that I will need to approve the new parish before it becomes active on the website? I have not been able to find a way to enforce the pre-approval feature.
Thanks – you’ve been a lifesaver!

You can use the Loginbox widget to quickly get a list of all the important links.
Click on the link, then capture the URL to add it to your new menu item.
Your directory could work such that the people who visit can quickly login/register with Facebook. Once registered they can add their listings, and also view their own profile to see a link to manage that listings. When they create a new listing, in any of the locations you allow, the listing is set for “Draft” status to allow you to review it before publishing it. They could also receive a notice each year to update and renew their listing. When they do visit the site, they could also add an event that could be linked to their parish listing, and then you could show a listing of all upcoming events.
To accomplish that case, you would need several of the Addons including Location Manager, Pricing Manager, Claim Manager, Social Login, Events, and you can also check out UsersWP (https://userswp.io) which will come packaged with GeoDirectory integration for beautiful profiles with links to your site member’s listings.
I haven’t heard of Calendar Starter, and we don’t currently offer any integration with it. If you want to make it easy to offer Parish listings and integrated event listings, though, then you should definitely look at our Events Addon.
