wesmergard How many categories can you have? Is 400 business categories too many? How many categories can you have assigned to a business listing? Is 50 per listing too many? How many levels deep can categories be? Is 3 levels too many?
bernardhaasbroek I don't think there is a technical limit. I think you can set up as many as you like and in any configuration you may need. You'd have to ask to what end though. How is your human end user going to make sense of a listing that can be classified as 50 different things all at once. Also, how are they going to understand the differnce between 400 different categories and how is that going to be prortrayed on a map? Humans tend to appreciate structured data that they can understand. How are you going to explain your 400 categories to yout human users and expect them to know the difference between the multitude of classifications. 5 to 8 categories normally works well (for humans).
