Disable Cropping Of Uploaded Images For Retina Ads

If you are using the advertising plugin and go to upload an image to a zone via the front end account area it has a popup to crop the image. I would like a way to bypass the cropping feature for ads only. Right now if I upload an ad and look at the ad it is cropped. If you look at the html output via chrome inspector you see it is adding a -cropped after the filename in the url. If I remove the -cropped the image looks exactly how I would expect it to look. If I upload it via the backend it does not add the -cropped to it.

This is also an issue if I want to offer retina ads and allow double the resolution and have it strictly be 728px x 90px it still will add the -cropped to the file name. Any idea why this is happening?

I tried out the plugin and did not have that issue. If the ad zone is set at the proper dimensions (looks like a 468 x 60 or 728 x 90) I did get exactly that. Maybe removal of the 'advertise here' text can be done to see if the problem persists or not. As it looks like both the width and the height are cropped my guess is a faulty ad dimension given in the zone for that ad.

opadalton What is odd is that the zone is set for a leaderboard @ 728x90 and the image I am uploading is that exact size and it still asks to crop. I mean even if it is cropping it should still show it correctly right? I changed the theme and still have the same issue as well.

Maybe you should ask support, but I recreated your problem on a test-site and it seems to me that the 'advertise here' text is included in the space of 728 x 90. Maybe through a CSS error somewhere or a conflict, but if I were you I would try to test it with the 'advertise here'' text turned off.

The 'advertise here' text takes height, so inorder to make the banner fit it also gets longer than 728 pixels and that it probably why it crops the banner.
