Front end Google Analytics

just got an upgrade, and it's awesome!
Google Analytics Frontend widget

We are the only Directory script to offer any sort of meaningful stats to the listing owners, at best others offered a total page view count which really is pointless without more into like dates.

Our old system showed listing owners (and admins) the total page views for the last 30 days in a textual representation, this was informative and let listing owners know the popularity of their listing by checking it often. The API our old system used was depreciated by Google which forced us to change it, our Google Analytics system had not changed in many years as it did it’s job and no one asked for more.

Our new Google Analytics system is 100x better than our old system, we have built is from scratch, it is now far more secure that our old system and now shows stats on animated graphs and charts, we have also built it so it can be easily extended to show many different stats than currently included.

  • Live Active User count (see exactly how many people are on your listing real time)
  • More secure API
  • Animated graphs and charts
  • Last week VS This week graph
  • Last year VS This year chart
  • Top Countries chart (see where visitors are coming from)
  • All Ajax loading, no need to refresh the page to see different charts

Setup instructions: Setup is not a one click wonder so we decided to make a fool proof video to help (though there are text instructions also)

  1. Hey, thanks for this information…I have a query – there’s a client of mine who would like to display the stats from Google Analytics regarding the site visits, countries, cities, etc on the front end of his WordPress website (on every page – something like a part of the header). Kindly suggest if there’s any way to do that on WordPress or via the method that you’ve suggested on this page. Please see http://www.sindhudarshan.com where they have displayed the stats on the front end which is directly connected with Google Analytics (data is showing from day 1 of Google Analytics being connected with the site). Would like something similar but a better looking one 🙂 Is there a way to do this on WordPress?

Looking forward to hear from you.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. With custom code and the Google Analytics API it is possible to do something similar and even a lot better.
      Thanks

  2. Hello !
I have a question in regards of the Client ID. Is the client ID my directory’s ID or my new Clients listing ID?
I try my website’s ID and is not working! Can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong?
    Thanks

  3. Hi. Is the google information showing the owner the statistics for its own page or for the Directory as a whole?
    Thanks

    1. for it’s own page…

  4. Thanks for the hard work.

If you’re also going to have a number of standard WP posts and pages on your site, would you recommend including backend Google Analytics as well?

    1. Hi,

As an admin, I check stats directly on the Google Analytics website. However you can consider installing a plugin for that too.

      Thanks

  5. Absolutely amazing, and thanks for the set-up help, the video and guide helped a lot and I got it up and running without any difficulties.
