Auto populate event address field from selected linked place address

    Hi,

    Is it possible to fill address field(s) in add event form with the address of place selected in linked post dropdown ?

    Or could you provide me the right hooks/templates to perform this task ?

    Not yet, but it is on our short list. We will post back here as soon as an update is available.

    Hooks for that are not available yet, one of the items we are working on.

    Great, do you have any idea of a release date for this feature ?

    I suppose this could be achieved in a separate js file by getting select2 selected value and then doing an ajax request with place ID to get details…

    Any hints or advices about that ?

    Hi Alain,

    This has been implemented and it will be in next release of Custom Post Types. There will be option under CPT(Ex: Places) > Settings > Link Post Settings to choose fields to import.

    Next release probably within with 3rd week of this month.
