    Hi,

V2 + WP5 seems to confuse me and I do not get onto speed.

I want to use blocks because I think that will be the way forward with WP. But a lot of examples show shortcodes. The shortcode builder, however, asks for the classic editor that doesn’t work with blocks on the same site. Or is there a way to use both? Or can you share the default pages or more examples with blocks as you do with code?

    Thanks, best regards, Peter

    Hi Peter Berger,

Thanks for your post. Sorry, I’m not getting this. Could you create a test page and share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that I could check what you’ve done on your end?

    Hello,

GeoDirectory Elements work the same no matter which one you use. A lot of folks are familiar with shortcodes and we are in the habit of using blocks of shortcodes for layouts, the quickest and easiest way to copy/paste combinations of GeoDirectory elements.

One thing you can do is install the Classic Editor addon, but continue to use Blocks for your pages. Then keep one page using the shortcode builder so you have it handy to explore different element parameters.

You can copy/paste shortcodes into an HTML block and it should behave the same as another block.

    Hi Alex

I find the Classic Editor and the Classic Editor Addon. The last one installs both. That’s what I did. But then I can only use the Classic Editor and not the GB blocks anymore. Is there a way to install this and chose for every page if you want to use it, as I understand you suggest?

    Thanks, Peter

installing just the Classic Editor plugin should do that. I misspoke, I should not have said addon because yes, that one removes blocks altogether.
