Hola! So I’m not sure how I missed this but I just stumbled upon the fact you can have a default image for each place category. I was manually entering the URL of an image into the CSV file for every place before seeing that I can use a default image. Now, after setting a default image for every category, I exported the CSV file and saw that all my manual entries have been deleted. This would be okay with me as long as it would show the new default image. The only problem is that the default image doesn’t show up. ***When I open one of the individual listings it shows a blank image but once I delete it manually through ‘edit listing’, then the new default image shows up (see attached file).*** I have so many places already so this would take ages. Can I reverse engineer this somehow?

Edit: It is not possible to export and then clear the image column and reimport.

I did export but it doesn’t show anything under images for any place. I was gonna do exactly that but for some reason it doesn’t show anything. I did try to upload it back and update listings but nothing changed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hello Sam,

In CSV import it is not allowed to remove all images completely during import. If listing have multiple images then you can still use only one image column and remove others images.

Here is the function that removes images for a single listing, this would need to be run for all listings where you want to remove the image.

Are all your listings just like this or some have real images?

I think almost every listing is this way. The new placed I have added in recently work as they should. Initially what happened is that I had one image I wanted all of the listings to use so I copied that URL into the first image column in the CSV file for every listing. I never uploaded them manually on the website when I added the listings, but instead used the CSV file. When I go to edit listing it thinks there is an image there, it’s a blank image though. Hope this helps and I appreciate everyone’s help. I’ve been learning what I can with computers and software but I have no background in this. I wouldn’t know what to do with the github.com website and php files unless there’s a snippet I can add in. Thanks!

I do have over 7000 listings so I’m just hoping for an easy way where I won’t have to do everything one by one. When all the attachments get removed from every listings I think it will naturally show the default category image and I will be good to go.

Great update for anyone following this thread. I created a new pricing plan that allows 0 images and changed all the listing through the CSV file to that changed package_ID. After those listings were updated to that I changed it package_ID back to the other one and all the attachments have been deleted appropriately. Thanks for all the help to everyone who looked into this. Just one more way to solve the issue!…Especially for a rookie like me lol
