    Hi,

    I’m a bit perplexed about this…

On ShopHawaii.me, you can see the featured image displaying at the top of the listing’s page….however, on ShopRVA.com, it’s not even though the company’s logo is set in the Featured Image holder. You can see here https://shoprva.com/places/united-states/virginia-1/richmond-city/food-1/juleps-new-southern-cuisine-2/ that our site’s background image is what is displaying on these ShopRVA.com listings and not the Featured Images.

Can someone please help explain why this is behaving differently from one site to the other with both sites using GD v2 & Supreme Directory v2…?

    Thank you,
    Robert

    Check this setting:
GD > Settings > Design tab > Details > Disable theme feature image output? > UN-tick

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/themes/supreme/#featured-image-theme-setting

    Let us know. Thanks

    Hi Guust,

Yes that fixed it so that the company logo is now displaying in the Featured Image of each listing.

    Thank you!

    Robert

GD is tested with WP 5.0.3 and is all good to go.
The reason for the issue you have is because V2 is not the same as V1.
    Also update your Supreme theme.

Check the version of Supreme in https://wpgeodirectory.com/your-account/
    You’ll see it needs updating.

So you’re telling me that I have to download the Supreme Directory file again and install it as if it were new…? What happens to all of the settings we’ve already spent hours configuring for this theme?

If you used Code Snippets and a CSS plugin, then there should be no issue at all.
The version you have currently is not a final version anyway, it is only a release candidate.

    Guust,

Please clarify what you’re asking me to do here and what exactly I’m to expect in doing it…?

The first issue is fixed, the featured image now loads in the detail page featured image:
    https://shoprva.com/places/united-states/virginia-1/richmond-city/food-1/juleps-new-southern-cuisine-2/

    What is the second issue?

You asked “What happens to all of the settings we’ve already spent hours configuring for this theme?”
The only things you can change to a theme is usually some PHP code and if you used the “Code Snippets” plugin for that, they will not be lost. Same for the CSS code.
What other configurations are you talking about? Configurations of the GD plugins has nothing to do with the theme.
Being a beta theme, it always was going to need an update.

Ok, thank you for clarifying these items Guust.

The 2nd concern was whenever you click on the logo it should take you back to our main landing page located at https://shoprva.com but as you saw in the video, it wasn’t even though we had already updated the setting to do so, several days ago. Could it just be a cache issue on my end or when you click on the logo from one of the listings…is it also not taking you back to our main landing page?

    Guust,

I just opened up Bing browser also and this issue with the Featured Image is not fixed, nor is the issue when you click on the logo. So this is now 3 browsers (Chrome, FireFox & Bing) that I have used and cleared cache on and it’s not behaving according to the settings. The only time it works is when I’m logged in as admin using Chrome. Soon as I log out, the Featured Image no longer displays and the logo does not link to the root shoprva.com…….it’s linking here: https://shoprva.com/location/united-states/virginia-1/richmond-city/

This video shows exactly what is happening: https://youtu.be/5J03VQoqsoM

Something is not adding up here…
