Sub categories

    Hi there,

    How can I display a list of sub-categories?

    I’m using the cpt categories widget for the main list, but I want to show a sub-cat menu when a user selects a parent category.

    In the widget, select a number for “Show max sub-categories depth:”

    I haven’t been clear:

    I have a categories list (cpt cat widget) on the listings page, without sub-categories (it doesn’t display in the way I want if I add subcategories, so I have turned them off).

    I think what I want to do is probably not possible out of the box. I would like a sub category menu instead of a category menu, when a user is viewing a category.

    E.g.

    Directory category (top level) is Restaurants.
    When viewing Restaurants the menu is a sub-cat menu with:
    Indian
    Chinese
    etc.

    I started a new topic as the other one was marked as resolved and I couldn’t change it. My apologies.

    Use these settings, and only the next level of categories will be displayed.
    So on the Places page, you will get a link to categories.
    On a category page, you will only get a link to subcategories.
