Question about Payment Systems on a GD-Powered Site

I am currently building out my certification program for Motorsport Prospects which will essentially be a premium listing that has to be applied for before I accept payment. I am using Get Paid for this as I plan on using the Paid Leads functionality that is only supported with Get Paid.

My issue is if I want to support something like the new WP Users membership functionality, it only uses WooCommerce from what I can tell from the documentation. How difficult is it to maintain two different payment programs on a GD-powered site and will it be confusing for the clients of the site? And why would you not be supporting Get Paid natively in all of your AyeCode offerings?

Be gentle with me as this is my first foray into e-commerce for the site. All my revenue thus far has come from consulting. Thanks!

stiofan Thanks for the clarification. I thought for the membership plugin I read in the beta documentation we needed WooCommerce but now I see that this is not the case. As you know I am trying to standardize on Get Paid. Good news!

@stiofan I'm from Brazil and suggest that GetPaid study the possibility of integration with Mercado Pago's gateway WordPress plugin. Among the main payment methods PayPal, Stripe and others, currently only Mercado Pago accepts payment with PIX in integrations with WordPress.

So to wrap it up, I had to install WooCommerce instead of GetPaid to be able to offer the convenience of the PIX and Mercado Pago combo to my website users. Even though I know that the Geodirectory, UsersWP and GetPaid ecosystem is a perfect match.

Lots of Braziians can use Mercado Pago, but if not enough Brazilians use GD it's probably a lot of work for a few users.

My tip: use GetPaid with PayPal. Users who do not have PayPal yet can easily open an account, it works worldwide, and those interested in using your platform will have no problem with using PayPal. That way you can avoid using WooCommerce and have all plugins from the native system.

@opadalton Your response to a user who pays to use GD was very encouraging.
I felt very encouraged to abandon GetPaid once and for all.
Maybe, just maybe, Brazilian developers don't use GD simply because they don't know about it.
Here in Brazil there is a popular saying, almost a meme, that goes like this: "During a crisis while some cry, others sell tissues."
Brazil has 5,571 cities, 26 states and a Federal District.

Given this, Brazil and Latin America are actually a very promising market if AyeCode is to pursue a global growth strategy.
In fact, it seems like a small amount of work to me considering the amount of money that is being left on the table.
