    Hey guys,

Is there a way to attached a new image to multiple records at the same time?

Please note – I’m working with a wordpress managed hosting solution and don’t have direct access to the server.

    Thanks,
    Jonathan

I don’t think there is a way to do that, I’ll get the developers to confirm after the weekend.
    Thanks

    Hi Jonathan,

Are you wanting to add a “default” image to listings? That is the only reason i can think you would want one image to be attached to many, if so you can set a default image:
    1. Globally
    2. Per CPT
    3. Per Category (uses place default category)

When a image is remove by a user is is deleted from the server so if u did attach one image to multiple listings and one user deleted it then it would break all the rest of the listings.

Let me know if i can help/advise further.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Hi Stiofan – can you please expand on being able to add a default image globally and per category? I think I would like to do this. It makes more sense that adding a generic image to every “empty” listing.

    Thank you.

    1. Globally:
GD > Design > Listings tab > Upload listing no image:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#listings

    2. Per CPT
GD > Custom Post Types > edit any CPT there > Advanced Mode tab > Upload default image
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/custom-post-types-add-on-overview/

    3. Per Category
Places [or other CPT] Categories > edit any category > Default Listing Image

    Thanks

Perfect. Thank you! I didn’t realize that the categories could have default images.

And just to clarify, the default images placed per category will only be used if there is no uploaded image to the listing? Once an image is uploaded to a listing – it will take precedence?
