Hi, I’ve just installed Wp Super Cache and it’s given me a warning saying the cache file already exists.

I’ve installed it on a staging site as I wanted to see if it conflicted with anything.

I’ve had an issue before with a cache on my site, when we used GD Booster.

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/filezilla/

Previous forum chat regarding my issue then.

We was with 123reg then and it was causing issues due to ftp being so slow.

We now use Cpanel through another provider, we upgraded from V1 to V2 and obviously removed the GD Booster as told.

We still have Gd Booster files at the back end as they were not removed, any idea why they did not get deleted when we delete the GD booster.

    Thanks.

    Hi Amy Fox,

Thanks for your post. Not really sure what’s going on without inspecting your Website backend. Could you share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that we could check on it ?

    Hello Amy,

It looks like you have not ticked option that delete GD Booster plugin data on deletion(see attachment).

To clean GD Booster data manually:
    – Delete file WORDPRESS_ROOT\wp-content\advanced-cache.php
    – Delete directory WORDPRESS_ROOT\wp-content\cache\geodir-gd-booster\
    – Delete directory WORDPRESS_ROOT\wp-content\booster_cache\

After doing this install WP Supper Cache.

    Thanks,
    Kiran
