    Hello,

We are using GeoDirectory Plugin with Betheme to build our directory site. Currently, we are having a few issues with the “Listings” page.

    We are using this shortcode for map [gd_listing_map width=100% height=800 sticky=true scrollwheel=true category=”0″ marker_cluster=0 post_type=default = gd_place] but it’s not showing the Google Map icons. Here’s the page:

    https:https://www.autocarenetwork.co.uk/newdemo/find-a-car-center/

Also, the sticky option is not working like on this page:

    https://wpgeo.directory/supreme-directory/places/

Please note website is running the latest version of the plugin.

Can you help with this please?

    Thanks

    Hi,

you have no map icon for any of your category. The Shortcode had wrong paramenters too, I corrected it.

Just add the map icons and they will appear.

Using shortcodes will not allow you to create custom pages that work like our example. You need to work on template editing of the regular GD listing pages, like we did for supreme.

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Thanks for the reply.

Where can we add the map icons?
Also, talking about creating pages, is the “sticky map” not part of the map shortcode? If not, then why is it there? Please let us know.

    Thanks

Where can we add the map icons?
You do have them, they are just not visible: https://www.autocarenetwork.co.uk/newdemo/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/garage.png
Replace them with something more obvious.

You can make a GD Listings Map sticky: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#listing

I have added a quick test page so you can see all links to the auto-created pages:
    https://www.autocarenetwork.co.uk/newdemo/aaa-guust/

Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory to get a better understanding of how to adjust GD automatically created pages. There is normally no need to create any WP pages for the directory parts unless you have a good reason to do so.

There is something on your site that stops the sticky map from sticking. There may be a theme or plugin conflict I have not found. I suggest you de-activate all non-GD plugins to see if that fixes it.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thanks so much for the help Guust. I can see that there icons there but we can’t see them!

But I have still have a question: is it possible to use different icons for popular categories on the homepage and the Google Map on the Listings page?

    Please let me know.

    Thank you.

Each category uses its own icon, so a listing uses the same icon on all maps: the map icon for the default category of the listing.
    Thanks
