    Hi,

    We have the AVADA theme, just updated to 3.53, we had a problem with our main menu that would not allow a user to select some of the drop down items of the menu “benefits”(lower half). We have a slider directly below the main menu that the AVADA team thought might be the cause but they later tagged it as some type of problem with the ‘z-axis’

    AVADA support inserted the following code in our CSS:

    #nav ul li { z-index: 4000; }

    This fixed the problem with our main menu drop downs, now we have a problem
    with our top menu dropdown items disappearing.

    I thought the GD team might have a fix. Or, is this something AVADA should fix?

    Thanks

    Added
    . tp-thumbcontainer { z-index: 3000; }
    to your custom CSS.

    Did that fix what you wanted?

    No, that didn’t fix it.

    The top menu item ” Find an NASC Professional” , still unable to select one of
    the drop down items.

    This top menu will start working again if I take out the Z-4000 line that AVADA support added to fix the Main menu issue. Then of course the ‘benefits’ menu item
    will not let me go to the last few items on the drop down menu.

    Hi,

    the solution is so simple, that I have a hard time believing the guys at avada even looked at it before shoting their solution.

    Given that .tp-bullets.tp-thumbs has z-index: 1000

    #nav should have z-index:1001 and #snav should ahve z-index:1002.

    BTW, all this are avada elements and yes this support request should have been directed to them.

    Thx

    I took a guess and tried this:

    #nav ul li { z-index: 1001; }
    #snav ul li { z-index: 1002; }

    It works, but did I do it correctly?

    Thanks so much, Avada would rather argue whose to blame than help with the problem.

    now you have :

    #nav ul li, #snav ul li { z-index: 4000; }

    Delete it and add :

    #nav ul li { z-index: 1001; }
    #snav ul li { z-index: 1002; }

    Thx
