    Can anyone tell me what size the image should be that appears as the listing thumbnail. All of my listing images are cut off and do not display correctly.

    800×600 or a ratio of 4×3.
    What is happening in your case is that the image is probably portrait, so it scales to the full width and therefore cannot show top and bottom. Because you cannot control what users upload, there will be cases images are too wide or too tall.
