The notifications do not work!
Hello I ask for help on a very strange problem (I think due to the plugin geodirectory) do a premise; before asking for help I made several installations, but the result does not change, user notifications do not come! (only plugin active geodirectory)
1) Starting from a new domain, I installed wordpress, making several test registration +50 and all receive the email containing the password, then everything works fine.
2) when I install the plugin and active geodirectory like magic not received any email, including the registration and publication of the new ad.
3) BCC messages are received without problems, strange note, if I disable “New user registration” from settings but bcc messages arrive anyway.
NON am new to wordpress I have worked several sites, but this is the first time that this happens.

August 18, 2014 at 1:05 pm #12439thanks for your reply, I had already seen this post, before I ask for help, I tried several plugins:
Email bank: it does not work (I get a successful test mail) but not recording new ad etc.. Both with “Send all emails via SMTP” / Use the PHP mail ”
(if I disable the plugin geodirectory all emails are working properly!)August 18, 2014 at 1:08 pm #12440I let Stiofan know. He might want some more info, like your WP admin details.

August 18, 2014 at 5:54 pm #12492OK this was weird but i have seen it before.
The problem was your server was just not sending mail if the PHP mail “To:” header was used, this technically does not need to be there but it is useful as you can send the name of the user also. I have commented this out and uploaded to your site so mail should be fine now.
I will leave it commented out for the next version, most people don’t notice it anyway.
Thanks,
Stiofan

August 22, 2014 at 2:18 pm #12898Hi Evan,
It’s in geodirectory-functions/general_functions.php lines 456 and 468
they start off $headers .= ‘To:…so if we do this we don’t need mailbank, is that it?
August 23, 2014 at 1:26 pm #12948this only seems to be a problme on <1% of servers but give it a try and check, let us know the results please.
