    I have used the firebug to view and change css. I copied and pasted the following code on the home page of http://whatshappeningtoday.com in the theme editor area.

    .gd-cpt-widget-list .gd-cpt-wrow .gd-cpt-name {
    font-size: 16px;
    display: block;
    position: absolute;
    bottom: 0;
    left: 0;
    text-align: center;
    width: 100%;
    overflow: hidden;
    white-space: nowrap;
    opacity: 0.7;
    background-color: #0D7D04;
    color: #fff;
    line-height: 20px;
    }

    When, I go back to view the css changes do not hold and revert back to the original css.

    That’s because you have added other CSS for that element on the page.
    Not sure where but maybe at GD> design > css
