Hi, as simply as possible, I would really appreciate answers for the following,
I need to change the text size on listings and can’t figure out how?
Is there a way to add place title to the details sidebar above address?
And how do I edit the pretext in the details sidebar, for example remove address pretext, or change “Website” to “Visit Our Website”Thank you
April 27, 2016 at 10:17 am #171777Hi Mark,
Could you please share your website URL with me so I can tell you the correct custom CSS to achieve this? You can post the details here using the private reply option below.
Thanks!

just the other two/three questions

April 27, 2016 at 1:45 pm #179981Hi Mark,
I’d like you to refer to this article as it explains how you can re-order the tabs in a listing detail page. https://wpgeodirectory.com/re-order-tabs-in-a-listing-detail-page/
To place a title above the address, navigate to GD > Place settings > Custom fields in the GeoDirectory admin page, then drag a text field above the address.
As for changing the texts “Website” to “Visit Our Website”, navigate to GD > Place settings > Custom fields > Website field > Frontend title. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
April 27, 2016 at 2:05 pm #179997Hi Kor,
Absolutely fantastic thank you very much, can’t believe I was being so blind to not see the settings for that, been looking for hours aswell!
If its okay I have two more questions for now.
One is, I have now change the descriptions in the side bar, how do I change the email button from “Send Enquiry” to for example “Email Us”. I did have a look in the same place but its not right, I understand it pops up in another window is it a form name or something else?
And the second is, is there a css code to edit parts of the detail list, each block (twitter, facebook) or if not that a code to set a background colour to all blocks?
Thank you.
April 27, 2016 at 4:10 pm #180076Hi,
to change any default text string of the plugin, you can use the translation file: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/
The procedure to translate or rephrase in english is identical.
To change the background of sidebar elements you can use:
.geodir-company_info .geodir_more_info {background-color: #ccc;}
This will change them all, or change each individually like this for example:
.geodir-company_info .geodir_twitter {background-color: #ccc;}
This will change only the twitter block.
To learn how to inspect the page and find each element please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
Let us know how you went,
Thank you
April 28, 2016 at 9:16 am #180771Thank you paolo, the information you have provided has allowed me to take big steps in getting the customization I want, there is just two things for now I can’t seem to find but need.
One is the possibility to change the icons at the beginning of a link, I have added instagram and google+ and would like to edit the icons from the links to the relevant icons.
And the second is, is it possible to change the text color in the individual elements such as “facebook link” as everything I try changes all the other text and icon colors just not the link, phone and email fields.
Thank you
April 28, 2016 at 12:05 pm #181006I have been trying to change the tab title “Photo” to “Photos” searching your forum with no luck. I have seen someone else raise the issue which was linked to the Re order Tabs page, but I cannot make sense of where the rename hook is.
And regarding the translate core it was unsuccessful from changing Send Enquiry to Email Us, I followed the instructions step by step and my .mo files have the included translation for both US and UK. Im not sure what I’m doing wrong
Thanks
April 28, 2016 at 5:04 pm #181211Hi,
to add an icon to your new fields you have an option at the end of the new field settings: “Upload icon”You can enter the URL of an icon you uploaded, or you can use a font awesome class.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/
To add the instagram icon you would add in that field:
fa fa-instagram
To change a tab label, the procedure is the same to rephrase Send Enquiry. If yo uhad the custom post type add-on you could do that via Custom Post Type options.
If you provide a link, admin and FTP credentials in a private reply, we will check your translation nad tell you why it is not working.
Let us know,
Thanks

Let us know when we’ll be able to access your website to check.
