Split: Override WPGeo Styles

    Hello

    I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to understanding coding. I’m trying to set up a CSS style sheet to override the themes style sheet. I have got lost with following the above.

    I’m not using a geo theme but using a plug in. Refer to file structure attached. You may notice I have tried doing something under the theme folder, but this does not appear to work. Is it possible to spell out what I need to do by using the filing structure attached.

    I’m sure you can help. I guess I just need the guidance to my specific filing structure.

    Hi,
    You want to be making all your changes within your child theme.
    Inside the folder for your child theme you will need a style.css file and a functions.php file.
    Do not make any changes within the plugin folder as you will lose all those changes when you update the plugin.

    Hello – again

    I still have not got the hang of this when you say child theme. I guess I’m not clear what you mean. Please stay with me on this as I’m sure I will get there in the end.

    I have attached the filing structure for my WordPress site. Is it clear within this where my child theme is? I’m happy to expand on any of the files if it helps.
