    Hi guys,

In full development mode here and last night I got auto emails for listings that had another year left on them…. but the date was automatically set back to 1971-01-01 and they expired.

Am I missing some date format settings?

    Thanks,

    Adrian

How did you set them to expire after a year?
Because it looks like you set the one year expiry in the backend, and the system has used the very first date of 1970-01-01, and now has figured out it is already 2014 so has expired it at 1971-01-01, ie a year later.

I’ll alert Stiofan to look at this too.

I am not sure if it was set in backend or by my 1 year plan in the front end… but I would have thought both are equal in effect and should work? This would be a real issue for me before going live as I need to be able to set expiry dates in back end for people who pay manually etc. Guess everyone would be in the same boat

It only should happen if you add the listing at the backend, and I thought I was fixed in the latest update.
Do you have the latest version of the payment manager?

Were these listings added before you had the updates, as Guust said this should be fixed.
Does it happen if u add a listing now?

I will try to add one now and see….

So, I add one from the back end, set the expiry to 365 days and wait and see what happens is it? Just so that I can do exactly as you need me to in order to test

If you add 365 days and then save, what does the expiry date say after you saved?

Ah I see. Adding from back end… 365 days in “Alive Days” field. And Date gets set to 1971-01-01

That means you do not have the latest update or there is another problem.
I just tested it on my site and it works as expected.
1.0.8 is the right version, but I do not have the Stripe addon.

    Over to you Stiofan.

Is this a problem (as I still have this issue) ONLY for ADDING through the backend? What about EDITING listings though the back end. I will never be ADDING but will be EDITING though backend.

    Thanks,

    Adrian

Just set the expiry date instead of the “live days”. That will definitely fix it.
