I have yet to see an “Advanced” search form on my website. I only have basic search toolbar that shows search by and near.
I cant sort alpahbetically, by date posted, by reviews, by distance, or anything

Hello, did you added some “filters” in Geodirectory/your CPT Settings/Advanced search ?

To set up the advanced search, go to:

GD > Listings settings > advance search tab > and follow the instructions there.
You have not customised your advanced search yet.
Please let us know if you want a hand with any of it.

The basic search should search by ZIP code already. For example, put in 95680 and click Search.

For searching by Title, you might be better of to use the Auto Completer addon:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/addons/search-autocompleter/

Let us know if you need a hand with anything in particular. Like what did you not get to save?

I added the sort as on the demo site.
You just have to follow the instructions at GD > Listing settings > Sort order.
It is not set up automatically.

Advanced search looks all different depending on what you want. There are no 2 the same advanced searches.
What do you want people to search for?
See an example here: http://wpgeo.directory/hotels/ and click on customize search.
Advanced search could include allowing to narrow down by category, or any custom field you have created (in-store; mail-order only), it is up to you.

Advance search filters are user created. They will not appear if you don’t set the up first.

To create advance search filters go to GeoDirectory >> Place Settings >> Advance search and add new filters (from left box = filter available -> to right box = filters in use).

Any custom fields can become a filter in advance search. When adding a new custom field, just enable it as advance search filter at the bottom of the custom field admin window.

    Thx
