I still cannot import the .csv file. I do not know were the problem is. I have read the directions.

    Does post_date require a time. For example “2015-10-19 20:23:10”

This is frustrating. I downloaded the event template. Copied and pasted the data for ten rows. I just took out the post id. I saved it.. and it would not then upload.

I would assume that since it was a downloaded template that taking out the id would trigger a new id and allow the post.

    Kind regards

Also, I ticked the cpt to not require events to show a location. Prior events had the latitide and longitude. Once past events had lat/long will this require all events, even when changing cpt to not require location any longer not to work?

These columns are in a different format: event_date, event_enddate, starttime, endtime
You should not enter any address fields at all because you are not using streetaddress, city, region, country, lat and lng for this CPT.

Now I am very confused. This “is” the export template for events. I just downloaded it.

Compare the downloaded with what you are trying to upload:
See how some do not have addresses because you added them after you set the CPT to not use addresses and maps?
And all dates are like 09/04/2016 not 09-04-16 or 09/04/16.
And times are like 13:00 and not like 13:00:00

    Thank you Guust.

I understand now the dates and times. I can fix this and try again.

    Regarding the address.

I was “hoping” that by not “requiring” the address “it would make the upload” easier. Thus saving me many hours of not looking up the latitude and longitude. 230k rows worth.

Apparently I should just stick with one method (require addresses) and spend the time doing the bulk lat/long look up.

I will try again with the corrections and require address and spend the time looking up the lat/log.

I appreciate the extra set of eyes… Kind regards,
