    Hello,

    This is in reference to the wp forum:
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/popup-geocode-was-not-successful-for-the-following-reason-request_denied

    I am having the following popuo with error message:
    geocode was not successful for the following reason: REQUEST_DENIED

    On the add listing page (front end):
    https://www.oigente.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place
    See screenshot:
    https://www.oigente.com/baul-volatil/geocode-was-not-successful.png

    I also get the following error when I click on the “Set Address on Map” button:
    geocode was not successful for the following reason: ZERO_RESULTS
    After clicking on this popup I can go ahead and publish the listing normally, but without address pointer in the map.

    HOWEVER

    If I go to the wordpress backend and add the listing from there, it does not throw any error. Clicking on the “Set Address on Map” button does not throw any error eiher.

    Why are these errors happening on the front end?

    Please help.

    PS: GREAT PLUGIN!

    Thank you

    Hi Karlos,

    Can you provide FTP, i will be able to trackdown the other maps api script much easier with FTP.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Thanks for the info, i have added the below code to your child theme to fix the issue, it was being caused bu user frontend pro pluign adding the google maps api also.

    // remove google maps script from user frontend pro as it breaks GeoDIrectory maps
    function my_dequeue_script() {
       wp_dequeue_script( 'google-maps' );
    }
    add_action( 'wp_print_scripts', 'my_dequeue_script', 100 );

    Thanks,

    Stiofan 🙂
