Is there a way to show popular post but with more relevant content

    GD > Popular Post View

    shows the x most popular listings on the site.

    I wanted to know if I could either

    a: Just show this on the real homepage (index.php)

    b. Show the most popular listings just for the location/place they were browsing in.

    Hello,
    – you can place the widget in the GD Home content section so it will be available only on the home, (or you can place it a different area, not sure what you mean for actual index.php..you mean the one in the theme?)

    – the widget has a “location filter” setting, so it will show listings in the location you’re in

    Ok, i see. If I use “tet” widget, it shows up in all locations, when I should be using Location Description.

    But I guess that still leaves me stuck with a homepage that isnt very customizable, unless I make a new template or something.

    If you use a non-GD page as your real homepage, you can add the popular post widget with different settings than the popular post widget you add to the GD Home/location pages.

    For example, on the real homepage you could have only listings with an image or featured, and then on the location pages you filter by location etc.

    Example which uses a “real” homepage: http://www.2cv.com.au/
