Hi,
There 2 points I would like to change to keep confidential data safe. I use supreme (last version) on servezvous.fr :
1- when people create their account, the pseudo database field is filled with the email address instead of the name, so that everybody can see the email address in the author detail page. The pseudo should be set with the content of the name field, not email.
2- when someone post a comment (evaluation), the moderation email is sent to the author of the evaluated post. Only administrator should see this moderating message (author don’t have rights to moderate I think ?)
Can you please send me the piece of code to change these 2 issues or change it globaly if you think these are bugs indeed ?
Thanks a lot,
HerveSeptember 7, 2016 at 11:42 pm #2624101. That should not be the case since quite a few versions back. Does that still happen for new registrations?
2. So you do not want owners of listings to be notified that there is a new review of their listing, or that you rejected the review?
That would be a WP issue, I’ll get the others to have a look at the question for you.September 8, 2016 at 3:30 pm #2627211) I can’t recreate this, is everything up to date on your website? Please provide a link and admin credentials and we will check.
2) I need to ask to the developers if there is a way to do this, as Guust says, that notification is sent by WordPress, not GD.
They’ll let us know asap.
Thanks

I asked to the developers to follow up. I can see the problem on your website. They will let you know asap.

Please delete author.php file in supreme theme folder and then use this one.

Let me know how that goes.

I have a very similar issue to #2 in this thread. I agree with Piault Hervé that the business owner (who becomes “author” when they claim listing) should not receive links on how to delete reviews. Most directories don’t want to allow businesses to delete all their negative reviews…
Also, I don’t like the fact that business owners can see the IP Address of who left the review, that’s definitely a confidentiality issue…
Is there somewhere we can edit these email templates? I can’t find it anywhere in WP or GD…

I see what you’re saying and I asked to the developers to follow up. Just FYI, they won’t be able to delete it anyway, because they won’t have access to the backend.
Thanks
October 19, 2016 at 12:42 pm #287723We have left this vanilla as there are many plugins out there that change this functionality but i’m happy to change it to something else if we can agree on something that will work for everyone. Should the owner receive a different email or no email at all etc?

October 19, 2016 at 5:22 pm #287911Ok, I can look into other plugins – didn’t know there were ones for that, thanks!
I have no idea how it works from the backend, but the optimal solution for me would be if it was possible to edit these email templates in GD Notifications, the same way we edit emails that GD sends to our users for claims, new listings, etc. But I realize this is a WP email, not a GD email, so not sure if that’s possible.
