Hi all!
I have a problem with the listings url in different languages.
On the website http://curiocity.travel/
if you go on the page of a listing, you have the following url (with country, region, city)
http://curiocity.travel/museums/italy/tuscany/florence/palazzo-strozzi/ but in the other languages I don’t have the country, regon and city slugs.
For example:1) Go to http://curiocity.travel/museums/ and switch language in italian
2) then click on the listing “palazzo strozzi” and you’ll have the following url: http://curiocity.travel/it/musei/palazzo-strozzi/ with no geographic slugs.
If you switch language from listing page from italian to english, and then from english to italian, there is the correct url: http://curiocity.travel/it/musei/italy/toscana/firenze/palazzo-strozzi/
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you in advance!
G.

You are running a mix of updated and outdated add-ons with an outdated version of the core plugin.
In addition both WordPress, WPML and other plugins are not up to date.
Please update everything and let us know if the problem is still there after it.
Thanks

September 14, 2016 at 2:18 pm #266126I’ll make some example in order to explain the problem, because with no geographic slugs listings are missing (the server response is epic 404 error):
From the main category page http://curiocity.travel/museums/
Then click on:
http://curiocity.travel/museums/italy/tuscany/siena/ospedale-santa-maria-della-scala-santa-maria-della-scala-hospital/Switch language to italian and you’ll have epic 404 error for the following link:
http://curiocity.travel/it/musei/ospedale-santa-maria-della-scala/Just to sum: the problems are 2. Above all, the gegraphic slugs in the url for the 3 categories CPT attractions, museums and artworks, that is missing in other languages but no english.
Second problem, when I click to switch in italian (or other languages), I have epic 404.I can give you some other examples in addition to http://curiocity.travel/museums/italy/tuscany/siena/ospedale-santa-maria-della-scala-santa-maria-della-scala-hospital/:
ENG http://curiocity.travel/museums/italy/tuscany/siena/archivio-di-stato-di-siena-state-archives-of-siena/
switch to ITA http://curiocity.travel/it/musei/archivio-di-stato-di-siena/ENG http://curiocity.travel/attractions/italy/tuscany/florence/belvedere-fort/
switch to ITA http://curiocity.travel/it/attrazioni/belvedere-fort/ENG http://curiocity.travel/artworks/italy/tuscany/florence/dunce/
switch to ITA http://curiocity.travel/it/opere-arte/zuccone/September 15, 2016 at 2:13 pm #266825I noticed also that if you update a listing, than there is no more “epic 404” but there aren’t anyway the geographic slugs!
Ex:
ENG http://curiocity.travel/artworks/italy/tuscany/florence/dunce/
switch to ITA http://curiocity.travel/it/opere-arte/zuccone/September 15, 2016 at 4:35 pm #266884Hi Can you please provide FTP details also.
Thanks,
Stiofan
September 16, 2016 at 8:14 am #267100Hi Stiofan, thanks a lot for the answer!
FTP access is controlled by another company that is the rensponsible for the maintenance of the server, so I have some problem to get the ftp access.
If you tell me what files do you need, I’ll ask them and then I’ll send to you here!G.
September 16, 2016 at 3:13 pm #267299Dear Stiofan , thanks in advance for your support
unfortunately we have to solve this problem as soon as possible.
I’m writing to give you more information to solve the problem.
In fact we also had a second problem, which we solved.
This second problem may be related to the first main problem.-SECOND PROBLEM Fixed-
The English version of the GD Detail elements GD Detail show the linked picture element,
while other versions (FRA, ITA, GER, POR, SPA, RUS) did not show the picture related to GD Detail element. This problem happend only to the elements of the categories created in 2015, “Museums”,
“Artworks” and “Attractions”, while the problem did not happen to other categories created recently in 2016.We noticed that the image of the English version of a GD Detail element (“Museums”,
“Artworks” and “Attractions” categories) was linked to the image folder wp-content / uploads / 2015/08 and
it properly worked , while the version in other languages did not worked because it had a link to a
wrong folder wp-content / uploads / 2015/09. (watch out the final 09)
Foe Example
the Museum Aceh
http://curiocity.travel/museums/indonesia/nanggroe-aceh-darussalam/banda-raya/aceh-museum/We do not know the reason why this link was changed from 08 to 09.
We simply copied the pictures from the 2015/08 folder in the folder 2015/09 and we fixed the problemSince the problem of slug and geografical path happens to the same three categories and translations (FRA, spa, por, eng, rus. Ger) of GD detail elements, while the gd detail element works well in English, so I thought that the problems they are connected.
Thanks in advance for your suppport.
best regards
September 16, 2016 at 5:48 pm #267382If i can’t get FTP access i will have to setup a test site and try to replicate.
I’ll try and get that setup tomorrow if you still have not posted FTP info. Thanks,
Stiofan

I’ve just tested and it doesn’t work, we can see the files but we can’t modify them. It’s a file permission problem, if you try to modify any of those files using the username you provided you should be able to see the same error as we get.
You cannot attach a PHP file here without zipping it 1st.
Let us know,
Thanks
