And can I put in one line for those field that I want to appear in listing page to reduce the height of item of list view.Rgds,
YCSeptember 20, 2016 at 6:11 am #269203Hi YC,
That can be configured in the custom field settings. Refer to this section of the documentation for more info. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#common . Here’s a screenshot I’ve captured on my local end http://prntscr.com/ck3cno . Well, give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
September 20, 2016 at 6:43 am #269207Hi,
Pls read properly.
1)City is not the list of fields in places.
It is from location.
The one you mentioned is for list of fields in place.2) like you mentioned , I am able to do some of the fields from places.
But,refer my attached picture , in list views , it appears line by line for each filed.
I don’t want that as it make the height of each list views higher. I want all those fields in one line separated with comma.I hope you understand what I mean

YCSeptember 20, 2016 at 4:54 pm #269726Hi YC,
for that you will have to apply custom css: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
Even for the city, you can show the entire address and then hide whatever you don’t want to appear.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks

After hide the address to appear city only with css , possible to add the city in the sorting option ?September 22, 2016 at 5:16 pm #271322Hi,
I’m not 100% sure I understand, but from the sound of it, no you can’t sort by city.
You can filter by location only using the location switcher.
Thanks

a reply is guaranteed within 24hrs only. Please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support-policy/
I’ve checked with the developers and there is no easy way to do what you want. They are changing the template a bit to make this possible and they will update you once done.
Thanks for your patiemce
September 27, 2016 at 5:32 pm #274157There is not easy way to do what u want without some sore of JavaScript hack, i have added a filter that will allow you to do this, it will be in the next version. The filter is “geodir_show_listing_info”, once released we will give you some code to do it.
Thanks,
Stiofan

Is there is a way to save city as extra “Places custom field” when listing is submitted so that I can treat it as another custom filed and able to use to sort too. I am ok that city is duplicate in both Address and another “places custom filed”.

YCSeptember 28, 2016 at 3:06 pm #274586Yes, however you will need a Jquery script to auto fill it from what is selected in the city select field.
