    Hello hello.

Not sure if this will be a usual or unusual question.

I will be using Places to highlight different kinds of wilderness “Attractions” that will be interesting to different groups — mountain bikers, hikers, horseback riders, rock climbers, kayakers etc. Then the usual Restaurants, Lodging etc.that will be paid listings.

So I’m trying to figure out how to structure the categories I create, the tags to create and the searches to make it easiest and most logical for the readers and users. (My mind tends to over-segment and over-organize on the first try and I want to avoid that.)

While your documentation explains how each functions, I’m struggling to come up with a structure that makes sense.

My request to help me organize this:
-Direct me to sites with more complex categories and tags to study as examples
-Provide a brief explanation of the keys to organizing via Places
-Direct me to forum posts that already discussed this via the right forum search terms

So, for example, let’s say someone wants to find the mountain biking trails in Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest and compare them. Both forests are HUGE and will likely have numerous (or many) “Places” each to highlight the best attractions. But how do I make them easily searchable for mountain biking? Or other activities available in the same place?

I’m happy to do the reading and research — I just need a bit more of a framework.

I hope I explained my confusion clearly. Please ask more questions. The site is not live yet so there is nothing to see.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Marsha,

we don’t keep track of older topics and I don’t recall anything dealing with anything similar, otherwise I’d be glad to point them out.

Let’s say someone wants to find the mountain biking trails in Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest and compare them.

GeoDirectory allows to pin 1 point on the map, not a trail and in addition with the free version you can only point them in 1 city.

You can’t do what you want unless you install both the multilocations and the advance search addons.

Once you purchase them we will be glad to provide assistance for them in the respective forums (you currently can’t access them).

As of now you have right to get support for the core plugin and Avada Child theme only. (you should sync your profile with your Theme Tailors orders.)

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

Thanks for the help. I was exploring how much I could work get done with the core plugin before signing up for support.

I know I will need the multilocations add on. Good to know about the advanced search addon.

How do I sync my profile?

    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks, Guust.

I don’t see a button for syncing in my profile. I did use the same email for GD and ThemeTailors.

    Please advise.

Click on your name below your avatar and than ThemeTailors Sales: Sync forum access.

    It’s a link, not really a button.

    Please see image attached.

    Thanks
