Hi There
After upgrading the plugin to the latest version my site that use the genesis Geo Bold theme layout is all messed up. http://bangkokatnight.club
The Genesis compatibility plugin will not activate and I get the following error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare geodir_genesis_meta() (previously declared in /var/www/bangkokatnight.club/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/compatibility/Genesis.php:58) in /var/www/bangkokatnight.club/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory-genesis-compatibility-pack/geodir_genesis_compatibility.php on line 118
Any ideas on how to fix?
Thanks
Robert
February 2, 2015 at 10:33 am #29452Have a read of this post: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/important-release-of-1-3-6/
Let us know if that solves your problem.
February 2, 2015 at 10:33 am #29453Hi Guust
I read the post and from what I can read you have depreciated the compatibility add ons and included them in the core plugin. So should it be as easy as just selecting the genesis option in the theme compatibility section? I tried this and the site is still looking messed up, pretty much exactly the same as if I did not have the genesis compete plugin installed in the previous version.
Any suggestions on what I have missed?
thanks
Robert

February 3, 2015 at 9:03 am #29653Having issues with Bold as well – styling all off and in admin I have certain areas that are now just white screen – looks like a plugin conflict but at the moment I haven’t got time to do anything with it.
I will supply log in details when I can find time to clear the plugin that is causing this conflict and create a new user.
Site was rock steady before the upgrade
February 3, 2015 at 9:13 am #29655Hi Websitu,
Please disable any compatibility pack’s you have as they are now built in to core.
Please also start your own topic so we can ask for login details in private.
Thanks,
Stiofan
February 3, 2015 at 5:40 pm #29760Compatability packs were deleted prior to up grade
Posted on this thread because it appeared logical to do so given the title is exactly how I would have posted.
Seems premature to mark a thread as resolved so quickly and especially with no details of the fix that put things right.
When I get chance I will open a new thread and create a user account – disapointed in the way that this upgrade was rolled out – I luckily caught the post before up grading but I could have easily just upgraded without prior knowledge. Also no real explanation as to what/how we are to use the new compatability features.
I havent got a live site thankfully – I wouldn’t have been impressed if I had and dont think that you guys would be either. We should be well past upgrade, beta test, upgrade.
February 3, 2015 at 6:32 pm #29767Hi,
Robert started a post, Robert’s problem was solved so it is marked resolved…
Roberts problems were small, it consisted of the map needing to be set 100% width and a small CSS change.
We rolled out this compatibility pack so things can be smoother in the future, the update should disable the other compatibility pack and use the new one, hopefully resulting in a seamless transition, it’s not always the case and we are here to help…
