Hi,
I have realised that my website is not showing correctly in all browsers.
I have attached an image sent to me today of how it shows up. In my browsers it looks ok.
I have also realised that I somehow suddenly got more than 3000 pages? Don’t know how that happened as I have only written a few pages. Can you please have a look and let me know what happened.
If you still have logon from last support request, that can still be used as I have not deleted it.
Thanks,
LiseNovember 9, 2016 at 2:06 am #300506Hi Lisec,
I’ve just checked your Website and everything seems to be working fine. Here’s a screenshot for your reference http://prntscr.com/d4w89t . Are you saying that the 3000+ listings do not belong to you? Could you tell us a little bit about the issue there? 3000+ listings should take awhile to populate and you should be able to notice it.
Thanks!
November 9, 2016 at 2:19 am #300508It looks ok in my browser too. Could it be settings on the defence computers that warp the view. The complaint came from several people who use defence computers (it is posting time and they are looking for schools – one of my core target groups). They can use TripAdvisor so a bit strange.
For the extra pages: having checked a few – they are all empty, no title or content and have shown up suddenly. Didn’t want to delete in case served some function.
Can I safely delete then and how do I do that – or has it got to do somehow with the listings. My CPT listings number almost 10 000.
Thanks,
LiseNovember 9, 2016 at 7:29 pm #300928HI,
it looks like the stylesheet is not loaded at all. Who knows… what do you mean by “defence computer”?
We could only help if we could test it out directly.
I see they seem to be using an old version of IE. Maybe tell them to install Chrome or Firefox that are free and better. You’d be teaching them something new and give them a great advice…
If all those pages are empty (no title no nothing), yes I believe you can safely delete them
Let us know,
Thanks
November 10, 2016 at 2:24 am #301077Ok, I will ask if they are able to update the web browser. They are on department of defence work computers, so I was thinking maybe they had some filters on them that would stop my website loading.
Will delete all those pages then. Wish I knew how they got there – I know I have done something, just not what. Thanks for giving me the confidence to remove the rubbish I put up in the first place.
Can I tag on new issue please:
How do I remove header view from all pages but the front page? Found the templates in the Editing section. Do I just remove <?php get header ();?> or will that take my front page header as well. How can I change the spelling of “Favorite” to the Australian spelling “Favourite” – I am dealing with principals of schools here for my listings and they are already getting stuck into this one.
When you look up a listing, it has the category and tag visible on top if listing – can I remove the view of these?
Want to make the listing view more compact to avoid people having to scroll so much to get to info.
Thanks,
LiseNovember 11, 2016 at 4:05 pm #302032Hi,
removing the header from all of your pages is not a good idea at all, why would you want to do that?
Let us know,
November 15, 2016 at 1:08 am #303777Ok, the idea is that it will be less scrolling to get to the content so currently, when someone has searched a school, they get to a page that, when they land on it, contains the header, a lot of empty space, the category and tag line above the information tabs.
My feedback from a couple of users is that they think it would be better if you land on the page you are interested in and have most of the information in the one screen without scrolling.
Is there any way I can achieve that? Or maybe just have a small header, like a one line sized one?
I want to have the front page header as it is now though.
Thanks,

that requires a customization.
Thanks
