We are building a multi-location GeoDirectory site at: http://theceliacscene.ca/ The site is live in beta now.

It focuses exclusively on gluten-free restaurants and stores on Vancouver Island in Canada. The listings are not user submitted. The site webmaster handles that on her own and we have hidden the user submitted functionality.

We are utilizing a two column grid format to display listing results.

    CUSTOM OUTPUT

We would like to customize the results for listings for home, listing, and search. Currently the output displays:

    · Place Title (bold on separate line)
    · Place Excerpt (if there is one)
    · Place Description (if there is one – truncated to a certain number of characters)

We would like it to display:

    · Place Title (bold on separate line)
    · Place address (on separate line)
    · Place phone number (on separate line) with tel: hyperlink
    · Place Excerpt (if there is one)
    · Place Description (if there is one – truncated to a certain number of characters)

    CUSTOM SORT

In addition to the custom output, we would like a custom sort on the home, listing, and search. The webmaster will be uploading GeoDirectory place photos to paid advertisers’ businesses. Those businesses should appear at the top of a sort. The complete sort methodology should be as follows:

    1. Restaurants with place photos sorted alphabetically.
    2. Stores with place photos sorted alphabetically.
    3. All others without photos sorted alphabetically.

Note, restaurants and stores have been assigned separate categories in GeoDirectory to make the sort possible.

The data imported into the beta site is not finalized. We are prepared to use custom fields in a CSV import or make other adjustments to make these modifications as friendly to the existing code as possible.

I’m still looking for some help on this one. Any leads or suggestions of other boards to post to would be appreciated.

No one responded to this request so I took it to Elance.

I had a great experience there with Ahmed Saad with username “Gicoder”.

    I’d highly recommend him.
