Widget area for listing page not working

    Anything I add to a listings page widget (map, text…) it doesn’t get displayed. Instead, widgets from home page area are being displayed.

    I don’t want to have a map on the home page, but only on listing pages when user switches location like domain.com/business/alaska

    But for some reason, it doesn’t work.. Any assistance would be great!

    Hi,

    you must use an alternative page as home page. The GD Home and Location page share the same widget areas. (they are basically the same page).

    You should do this:

    1) Create a page called whatever to select as GD home in GD >> Permalink. You won’t use this page at all.

    2) Use a page builder like Beaver builder lite to create the custom home page using the GD widgets and avoid adding the map.

    3) The widget added to GD Home widget sections, now will only be used by the Location page.

    Hi Paolo, thanks for the tip! I used WP conditional “if !is_home()” as a different approach.
