Theme X and GD

    Hi, lets use this topic to discuss things related with implementing X and GD?

    I’ll start with 2 questions:

    1- where to change the favicon?
    2- where to change the size of the sidebar title?

    i’ll try to answer what you ask also, but as long as im not a developer my answers will be onl with i do know the answers

    both things are related to the theme though, not to our plugin…

    i thought that, but as the favicon is the same since i installed GD (the orange globe) and i tried to change the favicon at the theme, but it didnt work, it stayed the globe.

    Related to GD and X: i have been able to get it working, only item i have noticed so far is the image at the top (Large one at top of listing) will not display, it appears as two bars stacked. I am using the dummy data through GD. The images do show in the smaller thumbnails below when you click on the photos tab.

    hi @leandrorosa, the orange globe is something related to GDF theme, not to the plugin. If you have the plugin and X installed the Orange Globe shouldn’t be there.

    @montey the problem with the slider is probably related to a conflict with flexslider, used by both theme and plugin. I found the same problem while trying GD with Avada and it was easy to solve, because the theme offered an option to switch off flex slider. Does X offer the same option?

    ai looked at the plugin page and didnt find flexslider.

    and i made sure the link was correct on X settings

    I see your logo as favicon. (see image attached).

    You can’t disable the plugin flex slider, but the theme flex slider. I have no idea if they added an option like in avada to switch it off.

    In case they didn’t we will need to add a function in your theme.

    you need to clear the cache of your browser…

    For the flex slider problem it seems that guust gave you a quick solution…

    hey Vikas, Im trying to change the position of the arrows and some icons on my profile page with theme X.

    im trying what they are saying but here it doesnt fix… you could help me with this!! lol

    Hi, next version will solve this issue. We changed all GD classes associated with any js plugin used to avoid possible conflicts.

    We should release the new version in the next few days.

    We quickly tested the new version with Enfold and we don’t even need to create a child theme to make it 100% compatible. A set of functions to adjust the theme wrappers around GD elements is all we need (24 lines of very simple code), which means we can make the compatibility pack as plugins which we will provide for free on wordpress.org.

    We decided to do Avada, X and Enfold to star, if someone could send us a copy of latest X and Avada to create the compatibility pack I would appreciate it.

    @leandrorosa, can you send us a copy of X via dropbox or similar service to info [at] wpgeodirectory.com
