I could really do with a little help. Ran Google Page Speed Insights on site and got a very low score. I then installed GD Booster and it seems to have made no difference to the page speed results. I have GD Booster set to show notes in source code but I can’t see any at the foot of source code where it says in the setup that they should be.
When I checked the cache folder by ftp there are only two files in it .htaccess and gdb-advanced-cache . There is another folder in wp-content called booster-cache which does have files in it but I am confused as this isn’t the folder mentioned in the GD Booster setup page.
To be honest I am getting a little lost here and could do with someone checking my setup out and confirming whether things are working or not as I feel things should be much faster. Will follow this with WP login details in PM
Cheers Andy

I can’t see any obvious reasons why it is not working. It behave like if it was disabled no matter what.
I’ve asked to Stiofan to have a look. He’ll let you know asap.
Thanks

March 26, 2015 at 9:59 pm #35349This is showing in code at foot of all pages
<!– GD Booster is NOT caching this page, because the PHP constant
DONOTCACHEPAGEhas been set at runtime. Perhaps by WordPress itself, or by one of your themes/plugins. This usually means that you have a theme/plugin intentionally disabling the cache on this page; and it’s usually for a very good reason. –>
March 27, 2015 at 1:55 pm #35376Yes there was some problems with content being cached on the homepage when changing locations so this was added, i see it is running on all other pages.

March 27, 2015 at 2:19 pm #35378Thanks Stiofan can understand that. I guess I need to look at assets included on home page with a view to cutting some out and increasing page speed, doesn’t seem to bad to me but getting a bad Google store. Thanks for checking this out. Just one cheeky question , I know it’s on the wrong thread but any idea on launch date yet for latest events plugin ? Cheers Andy

Hi Stiofan,
Do you remember what these problems were?
I’m looking to cache the home page to speed things up.Would it be possible to put a hook on line 100 of geodirectory.php so I can enable the cache without losing the setting on each update?
October 13, 2015 at 6:29 pm #56759Hi Dean,
Do you just run one location? If not then you will just cause problems.
We are looking at a solution to this but it might be a few weeks before it’s implemented fully. Thanks,
Stiofan
October 13, 2015 at 6:32 pm #56760Hi Stiofan,
Yes I run multiple locations.
Is it just the homepage it can cause problems or can caching /custom-post-type pages cause problems too?
What are the problems you’ve seen? Thanks
October 13, 2015 at 6:55 pm #56766The problems arise from setting a location and then visiting the homepage, after that even if you change locations the hompage will be cached as the first location you visited, it’s a nghtmare but we will have a solution in a few weeks.
