I just initiated my first payment on my website directory, after doing lots of testing.
I made this first transaction with my own credit card, for a $7 listing. To keep fees low over a period of time with a recurring subscription, I created a coupon and applied it. I entered “5” in the field next to “Discount Amount ($)” for the amount. This would take my $7 payment (I thought) down to $2.
When I checked out, all went well! It said my subtotal at the checkout page was $7.00, with a discount of $5.00 with the coupon code, and the total was $2.00. Wahoo! Success.
However, when I checked my email from Stripe (the only payment option I am using), in the email from them AND on their website, they list the total received as $6.95, with a coupon code of $0.05 off — or just a nickel!
I am attaching a flow of screenshots first showing the checkout page, then my GeoDirectory backend showing invoice summation, then my Stripe account on their website showing two different places how the amount is broken down. (I made a video screen capture of the entire checkout process for my records — just in case something like this happened)
If the checkout page had listed this coupon as $0.05 I would have thought I entered the amount in the coupon creation incorrectly. But, the checkout amount was correct.
Is this a bug?
Thanks for any help,
Curtis
