popular posts widget

I’m using the popular posts widget on the front page as well as several pages.

Geolocation seem to be a bit sketchy.

If I just land on the front page and allow geolocation it does not show listings close to me.

If I use the near me button over the map, it immediately locates the nearby listings in the widgets too.

If I now go to a page, the widgets there only show latest added listings – not nearby ones. This is even if I just allowed geolocation.

If I add the near me button in the page – it takes me to the from page (as it is intended to do) but when I go back I still have no luck getting up nearby listings.

I have ticked the geolocation option in the widget.

I have used some widget logic for when to show what listings (works well) and country IP for statewide listings (works well).

Have a feeling I have missed something here. Am I doing it wrong or just expecting the wrong result. Can I maybe only expect geolocation to be effective on the front page?
