Hello,
I recently purchased the full Geodirectory membership package and managed to easily generate an API and use Google maps on it with no issues.
After a period of testing on Geodirectory (with all the addons), I used the WordPress Reset plugin to wipe the site so I could clear all the testing data/settings and start from scratch with creating my directory.
Since doing this however, I have been unable to set my default location as the Google map will not load and says “Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.”
I have generated several new APIs but they all result in the same problem. I have now deleted all of these and reverted back to using the original.
When I inspected a page on my website it has a Google Maps API error – Google Maps API error: RefererNotAllowedMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#referer-not-allowed-map-error
Your site URL to be authorized: http://findatradesmannearyou.co.uk/
I reviewed my Google account and saw an error regarding ownership of my API project. I corrected this but still the problem persists. The map does appear for a split second but then the “Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.” appears.
I have read through several of your forums and tried the API KEY for Google Maps plugin as suggested in one but to no avail.
Do you know what the issue is and how I can go about fixing it?
Many thanks in advance
Nigel
