    Nothing to do with the Directory, as that’s working fine at the moment.

    But these Profile Pictures of Advertisers is really doing my head in!

    I don’t want to have to go down the route of making them have to sign up for a Gravatar – it really is time that wordpress kicked that system into touch!

    So – I tried two plugins so far – custom image saver and custom avatar (or something along those lines), neither of them worked so I just deleted them.

    Is there an official Geodirectories recommendation for advertisers to upload their own avatar?

    BuddyPress works well, and can be fully integrated with GD: https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/buddypress-integration/

    We also have a beta version of UsersWP, a new olugin with a Front End Register form with custom fields and form builder, a Login Form, Users Profiles and a Members Directory.
    This is available to all current members for testing and feedback.

    Another option is to hide the avatars with CSS.

    Yeah, its the Profile Page I was looking at – the one where an avatar for an advertiser would be essential.

    I don’t think I’ll go down the BuddyPress road at the moment, as just using it for a profile page avatar is a bit like using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut.

    I might be tempted in trying the UsersWP plugin out though – where do I get it?

    At the moment, I found THIS PLUGIN to tide me over for the time being.
