    Hi,

The google map feature was the first thing that attracted me to GD.

Now I have 75,000 listings added I find the map search by ‘Title’ quite unrewarding from a user perspective.

Searching to find the precise businesses of interest ‘easily’ by company name means a number of map pins have to be clicked on to open the ‘map bubble’ to find out if this is the company one is searching for.

    Unless:

    – One knows the precise spelling of the company name,
    – Or the company name has – by chance – its ‘business purpose’ in its company name
    – Or all the listings have been accurately categorised and map pinned – unlikely at an initial stage

I am not sure what advantage or benefit this function brings?

How exactly is this function supposed to compete with a straightforward google search?

    Thanks

    Al

    Hi,

The search within the map is just to locate pins within the map for listings that you know the title.

It’s an extra option, not the main search option, which is the GD search widget.

If you think it is not useful, you can hide that form with css.

    Thanks
