location search does not clear

    The location search does not clear

    I had to leave business (place) search and toggle to event search to get the location to clear.

    The location will clear if you add another location.

    I want to be able to search for something without a location, which would include more areas. Once you put a location in the search field it won’t let you make a search without it.

    Also I am finding that I can search by city but not by country. Do you know why that would be?

    I have a listing that is in Stockholm, Sweden and when I search for Sweden nothing comes up but it comes up when I search for Stockholm. Same for London and United Kingdom.

    Also, I am used to commencing a search with my return key. Is there a way to make search work by the return key or do we have to click on the search icon?

    To be able to search IN a country, you need to turn on the NEAR autocompleter at GD > Advanced Search > Enable Near autocompleter

    There is a difference between searching IN Stockholm or NEAR THE CENTER OF Stockholm, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/#near

    You can search using ENTER instead of clicking on the icon. But you need to enter something in the Search For field for that to work.
