I had a visitor to the site say he got this error when he went on my site:

Cannot contact reCAPTCHA. Check your connection and try again.

Anybody ever seen this? I could not duplicate.

    Hi Justmark,

Please provide a site URL and WP Admin credentials so we can review your settings. Also, try generating new site and secret key and see if it helps.

You can review the addon docs here:

It may be related to the registration process. I will look into it further and run some tests and post the results.

    Hello,

That is an error report being issued by ReCaptcha and it part of the functionality from Google, nothing to do with GeoDirectory.

It is in fact actually part of the security, perhaps, because one way to trigger the error message is to click on the button more than once.

It’s odd because I have disabled the plugin and I am still getting the error.

    Hi @justmark,

Could it be that you have the ReCaptcha from two plugins working/enabled?

Both GeoDirectory and UsersWp have one. That in itself can also cause that error, as the error is triggered when there is more than one request to the API from the same page.

Let us know what you find

Ah that could be! And I would want the USERSWP to manage the RECAPTCHA for registration and the GD one to manage for everything else. I will look into this tonight and let you know.

I disabled both and the warning is gone. Do I use the same key for both RECAPTCHA setups? I would imagine I have to?

    Hello!

That shouldn’t be a problem, re-suing the key on the same URL.
