    Hi,
I want to use the Plugin “Broken Link Checker” to verify the external URLs in directory entries. But the Broken Link Checker-Plugin found no URLs outside the description-field (post_profile). Do you know, how I have to set up the Broken Link Checker? What is the field_name of the website-field and for more URL-fields like for Facebook, Twitter etc.?
    Thanks
    Ralf

I would be interested in knowing about this as well.

    Hello,

I have not used that plugin before, and there is a chance that it will not be able to read our custom table structure. GD uses a different structure than ACF or normal custom post types in order to provide faster load times.

To your specific question, the custom field ‘name’ is ‘geodir_’+{admin_name}, the name set for the admin name in the custom fields settings for each place. You can check it by creating a custom field and showing it on the detail page where you will find the name in the source.

Unless they allow a custom SQL query for each field that is checked, it probably won’t be compatible with our tables.

    Hi Alex,
thank you for your reply. I have found no way 🙁 Do you have another idea to verify the links / URLs in the directory regularly for existing entries and automatically for all new entries without using an external service? Because broken links are not a good signal for google.
    Thanks
    Ralf

I do not, except exporting to process in the CSV format with scripts, or working with the API, but I will forward your question to the developers in case they have something to add.

If it is important to you, you can make a thread to invite members to work together on a solution. It could be that you could hire a GD Expert developer to create an addon or modification to the plugin you mentioned that would get you there.
