I am really on the fence here. I was originally going to use Elegant Themes, but had a lot of issues with that. So, I’ve went with Supreme theme and it’s great! But, I think I may like for users to add photos to listings. I would just go with Whoop but I really like the simplicity and layout of Supreme. Plus, GD claims it’s their fastest loading theme.

So, I ask, is there a way to make it so Supreme theme users can add images to listings?
Right now VeganLinked.com has a CPT for people called “Earthlings”. I want users to join free or pay if they want to support the site. I like the way it is now I just want them to have the option to add images to listings. I hope there is a way without having to add Buddy Press because I’m afraid Buddy Press may be overkill or add more to the site to manage or slow down the site.

I also want to know, is Whoop easy to switch too? And, is it slower, more server resource heavy than Supreme?
I really rather stay with Supreme. But, like I said, I want to be able to have that feature so users can add images. If it’s better to go with Whoop I also want to know:
Can there be a free and paid version for users to join in whoop?

Lastly, I don’t know anything about Buddy Press yet, I am in a rush, gotta go for a couple of days. I wanted to get these questions out there so when I get back I can really work on this and have the answers I need to move forward. so:
Is Buddy Press completely compatible with Supreme?
Is the forum feature that’s in Whoop from Buddy Press?

Thanks for your help everyone! You’ve been great!

That is only possible with Whoop.

I also want to know, is Whoop easy to switch too? And, is it slower, more server resource heavy than Supreme?
Every time you switch themes, you need to redo menus and widgets as a minimum.
There should be little performance difference.

Can there be a free and paid version for users to join in whoop?
You will need a membership plugin for that.

Is Buddy Press completely compatible with Supreme?
Yes, but you can also use our UsersWP: https://userswp.io/

Is the forum feature that’s in Whoop from Buddy Press?
No, that is BBpress, not Buddypress.

All UsersWP and Invoicing plugins are included in a GD full membership. Log in with the same username and password.

You will need the WooCommerce addon and WooCommerce: https://userswp.io/downloads/woocommerce/

When I go to Ad On’s there appears to not be a way to download without a membership, when I go to my downloads there’s only the one GD in there, and under “My Account” it says “Membership: No active membership”

Are you sure you are logging in with the same account details? Or did you create another account at UsersWP and Invoicing?

I did not create another account. It even shows the same profile picture.

Also, are users able to “sell products”? because it appears that’s an option but the demo doesn’t really demonstrate this.

And, can users post/blog? because it appears they can in the demo but I joined the demo and found no way to do this, there’s no documentation, and after installing userswp I just can’t find any way to make this happen either.

And, does any of this userswp tie into the affiliates plugin? because I have installed that plugin, purchased affiliatewp and installed it, but again there’s no documentation explaining what to do next.

Yes, if you install the WooCommerce-UsersWP addon and WooCommerce.

    And, can users post/blog?
All users that are higher than Subscriber can add posts, that is standard WP.

And, does any of this userswp tie into the affiliates plugin?
AffiliateWP is not dependent on any profile management plugin, it works with or without UsersWP.

Sorry, I made a mistake with the memberships. If you have a GD membership, it includes all GD related addons of UsersWP and WPinvoicing only.

    Thanks

What mistake did you make? Am I suppose to be able to access UsersWP with the same membership? I still can’t.

I don’t really know exactly which products are GD and which aren’t. It seems like UsersWP are GD related. Does my membership include access to those addon’s as well? See attachment showing “no active memebership” and only one licence.

    Just FYI

Also, are users able to “sell products”?
Yes, if you install the WooCommerce-UsersWP addon and WooCommerce.

that’s not what the WooCommerce UsersWP addon does, it adds a tab for orders and product reviews in profiles, it doesn’t create a marketplace.

For that you need a WooCommerce Multi-Vendor extension. There are free extension to do that on wordpress.org

As a GeoDirectory member you only have access to GeoDirectory add-ons and Invoincing add-ons that are included with a GD membership.

The integration between GeoDirectory and UsersWP now is insde the core UsersWP plugin. If you wish to download any UsersWP add-ons, you’ll need to buy a UsersWP membership.

    None of them is included.

    Thanks

I really like the idea of WooCommerce Multi-Vendor extension. Would it work inside of UsersWP seamlessly? Like, would a UserWP be able to show their products under the product tab?

    Please explain:

it adds a tab for orders and product reviews in profiles, it doesn’t create a marketplace.

Before I go buying into UserWP add-ons, is there an example of how it integrates with WooCommerce? The demo doesn’t appear to showcase this at all.

It does not. We didn’t integrate with any of those.

it adds a tab for orders and product reviews in profiles, it doesn’t create a marketplace.

Only the shop owner sells through WooCommerce out of the box.

Users of its site can see their orders and products reviews in dedicated tabs of their profiles.

Exactly like this example shows: https://wpgd-jzgngzymm1v50s3e3fqotwtenpjxuqsmvkua.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/12/edd/2017/07/woo-order.png

I’ve already seen this example, but it doesn’t explain anything. “Recent Orders” of WHAT???? What products/orders is this talking about???? GD is about listings, not products. So, for crying out loud, what is this talking about? Orders, products, what? why put something there so vague and then refer to the vagueness as if it’s suppose to answer the question to the vagueness?

Man, I hope I can get GD to work. If it works great, but I’m feeling like it’s really leading me in the wrong direction. I mean, this userWP is a big tease. And, this coupled with now the lack of affiliate support I was so excited about, it’s like this has all been a huge waste of time not only over the last two weeks but all the years I’ve been trying to make GD work for so many different projects. I’m still trying right now to make GD work, but Alex is dragging me through the mud with the Affiliate option. I am trying to figure out how to make that work, but if I can’t I’m going to have to go a different route, like eDirectory, or something more turn key, solid, and legit. And, I’m a videographer by the way, I’ll be posting my results very publicly. I just hope I can get GD to work and stop spinning my wheels.

Paolo was talking about UsersWP and WooCommerce. With that integration, when the site manager offers products for sale through woocomerce, and users buy them, then the user’s woocommerce order shows on the tab.
