Hey, finally delving into what happens when listing expires.

    1. Listing went from Ultimate to Freebie automatically. Yeah!

    2. Noticed that the featured image (big top hero image) stayed as was when Ultimate.
What option should I check to prevent this from happening?

Oh…I note in the BACKEND, the Images say Unlimited. That’s probably why I still have the image. What could be my error?

Checked pricing in free Place in Geodir plugin and it had Images 0.
The TAB on the Details page properly shows NO images (for free place).
But I still have that featured image from before instead of the default “map” image at the top.

    Whatcha think?

Let me know what I might need to change.

Could it be that the category header default image is still present?

When I edit and downgrade on my test site the pictures drop off the listing completely.

No, I think the problem occurs because on the BACKEND, the number of images allowed shows as UNLIMITED, whereas the GeoDir->Prices and Payments->Prices->Free GD_Place has Images as 0.

Think that UNLIMITED bit is saying, “Keep these images and, hey, you have image in first spot, throw it up as a Featured Image.” (Okay, it may not be actually SPEAKING :} but you get the idea.)

That would make sense, even if functionality isn’t quite right.

Think I have wrong option somewhere…but the question is…WHERE?

Oddly enough, the display “removes” the photos from appearing on the photo tab…which would be in line with the Images=0 bit.

Unfortunately, I had two Expired listings as examples and they have been altered back to listings, so I can’t send you to them right now.

BUT…If you’re logged into the BackEnd and look at any Free listings, you’ll also see Unlimited, as well.

Does that alter when logged in or not? (i.e., always unlimited for Admin?)

    What is the example listing?
    Image name?
    Different category header default image?

Please show us how to recreate issue.

    Hello jahusdtc,

    1. Listing went from Ultimate to Freebie automatically.
Downgrade package does not deletes images for the listing. But yes it prevents displaying in frontend. The reason behind not deleting images is in some cases user wants same images back when they renew/upgrade the same listing. If we delete images then it is not possible to get images back again on renew/upgrade package.

Admin still can manage images(add unlimited images or removed images) for the listing from backend. Admin can remove images from the listings which are downgraded with 0 image package. That’s why images metabox always displayed to admin in backend.

    2. Noticed that the featured image (big top hero image) stayed as was when Ultimate.
Yes, this should not happen. We have fixed it and it will be in next release of Supreme Directory theme.

Let us know if you have any query.

    Thanks,
    Kiran
