Adding optimising functionality

    Hi there!

    When creating an event on the frontend, the user adds an image to the event.
    Before moving the image from the temporary folder, we need to optimize this image.
    In GD we found the function geodir_save_post_images
    How can we implement a new function into this functionality without affecting the plug-in core?

    GDv1 currently does some JS manipulation to shrink the size before upload so you never really get the full image.
    GDv2 will change this and will allow you to manipulate it as u want.
    We will also build in compatibility with the big image optimisation plugins.

    Hello,

    have a quick question: is there a way to disable the images smushing when adding the image in the admin panel (not on the front end)?

    They both implement the same function, the best you can do from settings in v1 is GD>Design>Home>Resize image large size.
