    Hi,

If a main menu option of Supreme Directory has a submenu, its link works on desktop but not on mobile. In desktop the submenu opens on hover but in mobile the submenu opens on click.

In practice a menu option with submenus should not have a link because it will not open in mobile. Is this the normal behaviour?

I tested this with the main menu option “Roses Tapas Club” in my site https://inforoses.com. This option is a Category Link that I had to duplicate as the first option of the submenu to made it functional in both desktop and mobile.

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much for your attention.

    Best regards.

The link “Roses Tapas Club” on the submenu works for me on mobile.

Can you say more about your experience?

    Browser
    URL
Description of what happens when you click the link (Nothing?)

    Hi Alex,

Yes, this is what I am saying. What I mean is that I had to duplicate the link “Roses Tapas Club” in the submenu because on mobile it does not work on the menu, as it does on desktop.

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your attention.

    Best regards.

I just flattened the menu and when I view it in incognito in mobile view all links are clickable.

Please try and less us know.

    Incognito is ctrl-shift-n in chrome.

    Hi Alex,

    Sorry, but… seriously?

I want to keep the submenu. Therefore, flattening the menu was not an option that I ever considered because there will be several other options like “Roses Tapas Club” in the menu, each with its submenu.

I simply would like to know if this is the normal behaviour: on mobile menu links with submenus do not work like on desktop because clicking them opens the submenu. Then, knowing and assuming that this is the normal behaviour, I will plan my menus accordingly. That is it.

I look forward to your reply.

    Thanks once again.

    Best regards.

It is the expected behavior, because in mobile a menu item can either be a ‘parent menu item’ like a folder or a link, but not both. The mobile menu works without the concept of hover.

    Hi Alex,

    Ok! Understood.

I forgot the other question about the mobile menu: how to set text and background colors? but, specially, how to make the language menu text added by WPML the same color of the other menu options?

I look forward to your reply.

    Thanks once again.

    Best regards.
