Hi,

I’m working on the search area of the site. I’m wondering if it is possible to have a search field description appear under the fields, similar to how the forms have a description under the fields. So for example, under the location field, I want to say : enter city, country, or postal code

Hello,

the Search for and Near fields both have placeholder text. ou can set the text you want to see in the settings at:

GeoDirectory – Design – Search – SEARCH FORM SETTINGS

Hello,

the search field does not have any text that shows below it.

A web designer may be able to add some text using pseudo elements.

Let me flag your question for the developers in case they have a workaround.

That can probably be done with CSS, please send over a link to the page and we can take a look.

Hi kathy,

Thanks for your reply. You can play with the custom CSS code below as it should allow you to resize all the search forms. Insert into GD > Design > Scripts > Custom Style CSS
```
.gd-search-input-wrapper.gd-search-field-cpt {max-width:20%!important;
min-width:20%!important;}

.gd-search-input-wrapper.gd-search-field-cpt.gd-search-field-taxonomy {max-width:20%!important;
min-width:20%!important;}

.gd-search-input-wrapper.gd-search-field-search {max-width:20%!important;
min-width:20%!important;}

.gd-search-input-wrapper.gd-search-field-near {max-width:20%!important;
