multi-select check boxes list in two columns

    I’m trying to style my output on the details page of a list from a multi-selcte checkboxes into at least two columns. I’ve tried using` .geodir-i-select ul li {
    float: left;
    list-style: outside none none;
    width: 50%;
    }`

    and it works. Except that it seems to spill out of the more info tab and you can see the borders on the list as in this image
