Hi,

When I send a test enquiry within the listings, the letter to listing holder starts with :

Dear Business Owner

Shouldn’t it know who it is that the letter is going to?

Dear Business Owner,

A message has been sent from XXX (It knows who the letter is from).

Can you help?

Thanks for your post. Do you mean you want to replace the “Dear Business Owner” with the sender’s name? Or tell us what you need so that I could find a solution for you.

Hi,

This is what the code is for that message, and I wonder why it doesn’t say a name but rather just generically, business owner. Shouldn’t it say a name with that code?

Dear [#to_name#],

A message has been sent from <b>[#listing_link#]</b>

Available replacement tags can be seen in the settings at:

GD – Notifications

[#client_name#] falls back to “Business Owner” in GDV1, but this has been changed in GDV2 to show the name of the new Listing Owner when available.

I’m in GD1. What should I be using there to make the name?

There is only the [#client_name#] and this is falling back to Business Owner. This feature was not developed for GDV1, but has been put into place in GDV2.
